Web Guiding System
Web guiding systems are used in the printing and converting industry to position the web path. They are used in printing and laminating machines, in unwinding and rewinding units, and also in slitter rewinder machines.
The system includes an optical or ultrasonic edge sensor for checking the web position, and reports the error signal to the PID control unit for processing the error signal and producing automatic positioning command to actuator. The actuator shifts or positions the web for correcting the web alignment. Digital PID control unit has over 40 user definable parameters for adapting the system for different applications.
